DIVINE SOUND est un laboratoire musical né au Bénin, créateur de son propre genre : le AYIKPAHOUN — le rythme de l'éveil. Les rythmes patrimoniaux Massè, Djègbé, Kaka du Sud-Bénin et le Akpala du Plateau y épousent le funk, la pop, le swing et le blues. Sur scène : storytelling interactif, refrains qui restent, cinq musiciens 100% live — une expérience qui transforme le public autant qu'elle le fait danser.

Founded in 2016 in Porto-Novo (Benin), DIVINE SOUND created AYIKPAHOUN, "the rhythm of awakening": the heritage rhythms of Southern Benin — Massè, Djègbé, Kaka — and the Akpala of the Plateau region, woven together with funk, pop, swing and blues. On stage, the Gangan talking drum converses with an electronic pad and a looper — 100% live, sung in French and in Benin's national languages.
